DVP-Production 101

We have completed two units of production.  We have tackled terminology and even produced some entertaining talk shows all while imitating different roles in production.

If I were a new student today in DVP explain to me what you have learned about the production process.  Identify 3 key concepts you learned and 1 you want to know more about.

Welcome to DVP--The Experience

Hello Students!  I wanted to follow up with a reminder of our discussion from yesterday.  What are those 5 things that can make you successful in and out of the classroom?  Here they are..

Make It Happen!
No Excuses
Pride and Determination
Teamwork
Focus (Positive)

These statements reflect a balance that is not easy to maintain in this class.  Choose one of the statements and expand on it.  Discuss one of the Five statements in the comment selection below.  How will you utilize these statements and what do they mean to you?

The Lipdub is up to YOU!

Whether your realize it or not, these lipdubs that you are planning are pretty historic at Moore Norman. We do not know of any other time where every program has come together to create something - not to mention involve all of the faculty and staff. Have you ever experienced something like this here? Probably not. If we do a great job then these videos will be played and talked about for years.

We are four days away from our lipdub practice day. Then we will not be in school until the day we are scheduled to shoot! Very little is done. Decisions need to be made. There must be organization. We must communicate with the other programs and people involved.

Mr. K. and I cannot sit and guide you through the entire planning process, but we shouldn't have to. Recognize this opportunity to do something that can be a source of pride AND fun. Organize yourselves first, and then work as a team to get this thing off and running. We have an entire list of things that need to be accomplished. BY YOU!

In the comments, tell us how YOU can make an impact on this. Remember that not everyone will run the camera or be the star. But everyone can contribute.
