Whether your realize it or not, these lipdubs that you are planning are pretty historic at Moore Norman. We do not know of any other time where every program has come together to create something - not to mention involve all of the faculty and staff. Have you ever experienced something like this here? Probably not. If we do a great job then these videos will be played and talked about for years.
We are four days away from our lipdub practice day. Then we will not be in school until the day we are scheduled to shoot! Very little is done. Decisions need to be made. There must be organization. We must communicate with the other programs and people involved.
Mr. K. and I cannot sit and guide you through the entire planning process, but we shouldn't have to. Recognize this opportunity to do something that can be a source of pride AND fun. Organize yourselves first, and then work as a team to get this thing off and running. We have an entire list of things that need to be accomplished. BY YOU!

Ladies and gentlemen it is time to decide either to be a "part" of history or the group that "makes" history. It is up to you. You have the knowledge skills and ability. Make it happen!

ReplyDeleteFor me its not about being in the spotlight the whole time or for that matter even recording the video. If i can do something behind the scenes and do a good job. The pride of just having my name on it and being recognized for what i did.

We all have to work together both 1st and 2nd years. This is gonna be epic. No joke. I think if all of DVP puts forth effort, this video could be huge.

ReplyDeleteWe where all born this way. Lady gaga has inspired so many people to do what they love no matter what people say. Lipdub is one crazy way to express your self. It dose not matter who's there. Just have a good time and have fun.

There is no " I " in team but there is a " we " in lip dub. Point being that we need to be a team on this. i would say that this means we gotta start really working on this idea and get a game plan. but also we need everyone involved, because the small group of students you have decided to be uninspired debbie downers will make the project difficult. as for me, my plan of action is to go with the flow on this one. mainly because im not the camera man, director, or producer and i don't wanna repeat my habit of (like the blob) just over talking a production.

ReplyDeletei agree with sethnabb that energy is everything in this whole video because its hard to be funny when you don't have the energy everyone else has, i plan on having lots of monster shots and red bulls and just getting energized up!!

ReplyDeleteTeams, teams, teams! Divide and conquer. We need to set up teams to go out and discover who is doing what and where during the video, and a separate team to plan out the camera's route, where it will turn, pan, and et cetera.
ReplyDeleteWell I guess my impact on the group is that I'm the main character in the lip dub thing. I know that everyone in the lip dub plays just of an important role to make the whole the thing work perfectly. It really depends on teamwork for everyone to do it in as less shot as possible. I know that we will do an amazing job and that we could win the contest or get uber close!! :D
ReplyDeleteOne person can't do one thing. The littlest job can affect the entire video, so everyone needs to be able to "make" history. Even just a dancer at the end can make it better. If we all contribute an idea then it'll make it what it needs to be.
ReplyDeleteAn impact a group that works hard at their position will contribute to the success no matter what type of group. Teamwork is important and no one is the better actor or camera operator.
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to get the TEAM together to decide exactly where everyone will be. Big classes will need large areas to be; that or we need to spread those classes out. Mix in non-energetic classes with energetic classes. We need to make sure that at no point in time do we let the energy collapse. We just need to make sure we get all the students in the lip dub while still being able to fit them all in the building.
ReplyDeleteI would like to do so many things to help the video but only a few of my services are needed of me. I will help them with my amazing zombie acting and then helping with the rest of the crew members and anything else they ask of me to help the video.
