Final Cut Pro is a great editing application. It is so powerful and user friendly. All software applications like to grow and improve. What are some of the things you would like to see added to this great software program?
i would like to see an easier way to use keyboard shortcuts, plus i want to see easier ways to show the timeline, other than that i don't really think they should change final cut.
I would like to see keyframing that is more user-friendly in FCP. In Color I would love a customizable workspace, more stability, and keyframing that is like every other program in the world!
A little more user friendly, not so much that its generic, but just enough, i dont know, i kinda just like it how it is now, but im sure apple will think of something awesome to top it.
there is nothing i can really ask for it to improve of, i mean i don't know everything about it so i am not sure of what all it has to offer yet. so, once i get to know it more then i will tell you i think it needs to add.
I would like to see more settings with the motion tabs and more tools you can use for your projects. I would also like to see the timeline be more smoother and flows with your video so it would make it easier to score music and video if you have to.
I'm sure there's going to be lots of great new features in the new FCP. I've noticed there are a few glitches and bugs in our Final Cut, so hopefully in the new one they'll work them out. Other than that, I like FCP the way it is.
I really like the Final Cut version that we have now, however, I think it would be awesome to have some sort of express After Effects application downloadable from the Mac app store. Nothing terribly dramatic, just something to implement more fluid motion and digital effects on a bigger scale than the current FCP.
FCP is pretty easy to use, i cant really see them adding any new features but perhaps adding more effects or audio/video transitions. Or at least thats what makes since to me.
The only two things for right now that i would like to see more into final cut pro is more effects. There are some good ones already in but the more new ones the more people will want to buy it.
Then the other one would be faster rendering. The more layers and effects you put in the longer it renders and if you on a time project then you need it to go fast as possible. Now i know the speed of the rendering is going to change from a Mac to a labtop BUT you can make it work faster in both.
I would like to see more effects and video transitions. Maybe even some more tools too help you edit your sequences in the timeline a little better. Also in Soundtrack Pro more Music Beds and more effects.
Final Cut Pro 8? OH MY GOD!!!! Honestly, I'm not sure what else we could add to this already amazing application. If we could add some more effects and transitions, it'd be nice. I think the current choices are a little limited, and some are definitely cliched. Oh, and definitely integrate Color and Soundtrack Pro into Final Cut Pro.
The only thing I see them adding is a more efficient way to edit audio, I guess. And then they'll probably add new effects and audio/video transition. I don't think they'll be a huge, epic change or anything. Just fixing the bugs that no one is happy with, basically. I mean, what more could you add??
I really don't know how they could make Final Cut Pro better than it already is. But there is one thing I would like to see more of in the next final cut pro. That is more audio filters! There is so many Video transitions and audio filters. But I think if they added more audio filters. You could do some amazing things with the audio. Especially if your trying to make a zombie film.
I would like to have some more standard effects in the system. I would also like to see some better integration with STP, Color, Motion. I agree with Mrs. Smith that key-framing is also not user friendly.
Something that I just noticed-- you can't send key framed pan&scan to Final Cut Pro... It just does not transfer. Color is part of Final Cut Studio, and all the programs that are part of the studio are supposed to work together. It would be wonderful, if there was a new Final Cut Studio, if they could make little things like that more compatible. Key framing in Color is much smoother than in FCP. As far as improvements on FCP itself, I really can't think of anything that's been a big problem for me that needs improving.... EXCEPT the key framing! That's it! I'd like FCP to improve their key framing in the motion tab so that you can choose different interpolations like in Color.
Final Cut Pro really changed how people edit and is only getting better. I think they can introduce a more unique design and allow more customization. I could also love to see the new FCP have new video filters and effects.
